Our Students

1,300+ pre-K through 12th grade students attend Hope International and adults in the surrounding community are receiving an education, and some for the first time, through our night school. We are honored to introduce you to a few of the dream chasers
attending Hope International School.

Devine
2nd grade, age 9

Devine's father is a coach at the school and her mother sells juice to support the family. Devine dreams about being a nurse to help people in the future. Her favorite subject is science.

Princess
6th grade, age 12

Princess lives with her mother and father. Her mother sells spaghetti to send her to school and her father is a car loader. Princess helps her mother sell after class is dismissed.

Yassah
vocational student
age 17

Yassah is a student at Hope International’s culinary vocational program, Cooking Up Hope. She has received many benefits from the catering skills she has acquired. She provides catering services for her family and friends. The money Yassah makes helps with her transportation, provides material for her baking and schooling, helps provide clothing and food. “I like to bake sausage roll, fish pie, orange bread, and cake.”

Christian
freshman, age 18

Christian lives alone with his grandmother who is not well and suffers from sickness often. His mother is a teacher at a school very far from his grandmother’s house. She took another job to help pay expenses. “It is sometimes difficult for me to come home and meet food needs.”
