In the center of the bustling campus of Hope International is our small medical clinic. It is by no means fancy. We wish it were more continuously stocked with everything needed and in the amounts needed. It isn’t…and yet…
Through the recurring generosity of a Hope Squared Partner (a stateside nurse), the medical clinic is staffed by a Liberian nurse. How beautiful is that? The partnership of two nurses, a world apart, making the care of so many possible.
During the month of January, Sonnie, the school nurse, saw and treated 238 patients for things like Malaria, Typhoid, UTI’s, diarrhea, colds, boils and menstrual needs. Most of her patients were students along with a few school staff and community members.
We continue to dream of expanding our medical clinic to provide more for those it serves and are always looking for partners who want to be a part of growing all the good bounding out of the school. If this medical need is something you would like to use your particular impact to make happen, please reach out to Jackie.
Together, we are The Hope Project.
